Spring is in full bloom, and I love it! The warmer weather has allowed for evening walks that seem to soothe my soul and make me feel so good on the inside. I’m loving our new neighborhood. It’s quiet and full of beautiful scenery.
I am sitting on my front porch as I write this. All I can hear are birds, tree frogs, and one neighbor’s very loud air conditioning unit (haha). The “Easter Bunny” brought me flowers for the front porch, and I love them. I wasn’t going to buy flowers this year for the front porch because I feel like we’ve spent a lot of money on our yard being first-time homeowners who never had a yard to mow or take care of. But I am grateful the Easter Bunny knew I wanted flowers and picked them up.
One of the highlights of this spring so far was a girls day with my mom and sister to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We went to the Temple, went out to lunch, and then got our nails done. That night John cooked brats and hot dogs for my parents and I.
Part of the reason I haven’t blogged as much these past few months is because I’ve been a lot less active and we’ve gone on a lot fewer outings. This is because I haven’t felt quite like my normal, upbeat self. John and I learned back in February that we are going to become parents! The first trimester brought headaches, tiredness, and overall sense of nauseousness. However, I have heard other people experience much worse, so I am very grateful! Our baby is due in October. The actual due date is our wedding anniversary. Last weekend, it seemed to really sink in that things will change in our lives come this fall. I am grateful and excited 🙂
